A White-tailed Lapwing arrived at Dungeness on 11th July via Lancashire, Essex and Gloucestershire.  It was still present this morning when I went to see it.

This is a first for Kent (and me!)

Made it down to West Hythe first thing this morning to see this “first for Kent”.  It showed really well for over an hour.

If only twitching was always this easy.

A brief visit this afternoon produce good numbers of waders including

Black-tailed Godwit

Summer plumage Grey Plover.  (Black-bellied Plover seems much more appropriate)
