A brief visit this afternoon produce good numbers of waders including

Garden moths

One or two good ones last night.

Elephant Hawk Moth and Peppered Moth on the same egg box.

Garden moths

Generally it is not good for moths here - too many other light sources nearby.

But occasionally something good turns up - Lime Hawkmoth

Suffolk - 16/17 May

Distant views of Red-footed Falcon and fleeting ones of Golden Oriole at Lakenheath.

No sign of Stone Curlew at Weeting Heath just an obliging Spotted Flycatcher

Minsmere Bittern

Apologies for not updating the Bhutan blog for a while. New entries coming soon.

We had a long weekend in Suffolk last weekend. A very obliging Bittern was the highlight.

First Post

On 21st March we set out from Heathrow on route to Bhutan returning to England on 8th April.

Over the next few days (weeks!) I shall be adding a photo diary of my visit including birds, scenery, buildings and people.
