5th June - Adirondacks

Driving through the Adirondacks today.

Before we set off we spend some time at the Vermont Audubon Centre.  We get three new birds for the trip – House Wren, Veery and Indigo Bunting.  I get some (pretty poor) shots of the latter and a singing Common Yellowthroat.

The weather as we drive is rather cloudy so we don’t see as much of the scenery as we would like.

We do spot a Golden Eagle being harried by crows.

We spend the night in Tupper Lake NY and we eat in a “small town America” diner – an interesting experience.
