2nd June - Acadia National Park

The weather was better in the early part of the day and the birds were more evident.

Early on we saw a snapping turtle by the roadside that (we think) had just laid eggs.

At our lunch stop I managed to get some photos of a Pileated Woodpecker hammering at a tree.

Later in the day we came across a group of Cedar Waxwing that proved very cooperative when it came to photography.

We did drive to the top of Cadillac Mountain but the cloud closed in and the views were disappointing.
