Bhutan Day 5
After an early morning trip (unsuccessful) to try to find White-bellied Heron we set off again eastwards.
We stop at one of the numerous checkpoints as we move between districts. There is a colourful Indian truck waiting too.
We stop in the village of Wangdi (one of several different spellings) where the market is in progress and some of us indulge in some shopping.
After that we head off and catch up with the aptly named Yellow-rumped Honeyguide near bees nests hanging from a cliff

I also photograph a Verditer Flycatcher. These are quite common and I get a better photo later in the holiday.
Last call of the day is the Phobjikha Valley where, after much searching, we manage to find the last 3 remaining Black-necked Cranes. These are very rare and Bhutan is one of the main wintering sites for them. A day later and we may have missed them. Photos taken from > 400m away in failing light are not worth publishing!
We are meant to overnight in the pass above the valley but our team reports that there is no water there so we camp in the valley. This means another early start.
